"What was once considered a trend has become a way of life - and now the way we do business." Thus starts an infographic about The State of Social Media in 2012. For better or worse, we couldn't agree more. Everyone and their grandmothers (well, not quite;) are hooked to their gadgets, connected 24/7. The practice is so ingrained that Google CEO Eric Schmidt recently implored college graduates to de-screen for at least 1 hour a day. Even if they take his advice, make no mistake about it... the media has gone social and barring some nasty government intervention... it will stay social.
