Kara DioGuardi's a Helluva High Note Released, Spills American Idol and Sex Abuse Details

Kara DioGuardi's memoir, entitled A Helluva High Note, has been released. The former American Idol judge details a behind the scene glimpse into her past, including the inner workings of the hit FOX show as a former judge and traumatic experiences with sexual abuse.

In the memoir, released on April 26, 2011, the forty year old illustrates how very black life can be. Having survived molestation, date rape, and harassment, DioGuardi mastered the art of navigating life while living with tremendous pain and finding the strength to pursue her dreams. Despite the traumas of life, DioGuardi found inspiration in music and support from her friends, family, and fans.

DioGuardi is hitting the press junket to promote her memoir and her latest gig on Bravo's Platinum Hits, set to air on May 30. The show will feature DioGuardi and Keith Naftaly as judges, joined by singer Jewel as the show's hostess. Guest judges include Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis, Donna Summer, Jermaine Dupri, Taio Cruz, and Ryan Tedder. Check local listings and tune in to see DioGuardi at her best!
